Why Penetration Testing Projects Still Fail and How to Fix It
If you’ve ever managed a pentest project and felt overwhelmed by the amount of repetitive tasks, unclear responsibilities or tasks slipping through the cracks, you’re not alone. During my 8 years of performing penetration testing and leading multiple teams, I’ve noticed that both the quality of our service and the efficiency of project execution can be significantly improved. Many times when you attempt to improve or change your pentesting processes you will find that it's difficult to enforce these new processes and validate that all tasks are performed.
These problems could all benefit from a system that streamlines and assists with project execution, leading to more consistent and efficient projects but also it will be easier to improve the quality of the service without adding much overhead to the project.
